5. Mbappe donated all his world cup earnings
According to reports, Mbappé thought that he shouldn’t be compensated for his efforts on behalf of France, so he gave the nearly 400,000 euros he earned throughout the competition to a children’s charity called Premiers de Cordée.
He received an estimated 20,000 euros per game in addition to a bonus of 300,000 euros for winning the competition. Premiers de Cordée, the organization he gave the money to, supports sports initiatives for kids in hospitals and raises awareness of disabilities in workplaces and educational settings.
Mbappé started working with the group in 2017 and has played soccer with some of the kids the charity supports.
