3. Lebron Saved Carmelo Anthony From Drowning In The Bahamas
LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony share a very special relationship because the Los Angeles Lakers player once saved his friend’s life! Anthony, 35 at the time, revealed the incident on an Instagram Live with Dwyane Wade after being prodded by Wade’s spouse, Gabrielle Union.

LeBron, Dwyane Wade, and others had had boarded a boat after snorkeling in the ocean while on vacation in The Bahamas. Wade’s spouse, Gabrielle Union, said that after realizing someone was missing, LeBron dove back into the water to save his friend.
“We jumped off the boat in the Bahamas,” Anthony said, “everybody swam to the little grotto over there, underneath. Then we came out. All y’all went to the boat. [But I didn’t]. It was my fault though, because I’m still trying to see the last little bit of the barracudas snorkeling and all that. …Then I look up, and the current is taking me in the middle of the ocean opposite from the boat.”
Wade remembered losing sight of Anthony completely at that time, having been afraid to enter the water due to the swift currents in the first place. Worst-case scenarios flooded Anthony’s mind as the gusts worsened, posing a threat to pull him further out into the lake.
“Then I look up at the boat, and I see Bron jump off the boat like he’s MacGyver,” Anthony said. “He jumps off the boat into the water. He was bringing me back with one arm. He’s swimming with the other arm. He’s carrying me in one arm.
“He saved my life. … Yo Bron, I appreciate that, you saved my life that day. Them little flippers wasn’t working for me.”
